Esperance Residential College Fees for 2009

Esperance Residential College StudentsThe College Annual boarding fee is set by the Country High School Hostels Authority and approved by the State Government. The same boarding and amenities fees applies to all Country High School Hostels Authority Residential Colleges, and cover a student’s room, meals and pastoral care.

BOARDING COSTS AND PAYMENT PROCESSING IN 2009

The boarding cost per student in 2009 is $15,667.  The cost to you is reduced by various allowances and subsidies and this is shown in the table below.

The cost for students eligible for a CHSHA subsidy but no allowances is $9,070.  This is to be paid in three instalments of $2,923, $2,923 & 2,924 on the first day of terms one, two and three, provided the $300 deposit for 2009 has already been paid.

The cost for students entitled to the basic Federal and State allowances in 2009 and a CHSHA subsidy is $1,325 (inclusive of a $300 deposit to be paid in advance).  $1025 is due on the first day of term one in 2009.

Other allowances providing financial assistance are income tested.  Most students eligible for these allowances will have no cost*.

Initially, your statements will be credited with a CHSHA subsidy.  Category 1, 2 & 4 students will receive an additional $839 subsidy in October.

* These allowances are subject to an income test.  Where a student is eligible for the full allowance there is no net cost.  Once the residential college has received advice regarding your allowance it will advise you if there is any net cost to be paid by you.

Payment Information and Bank Details

The CHSHA has made it a condition of enrolment that AIC, YOUTH ALLOWANCE and SBAHA boarding allowance recipients direct their payments to the Residential College. 

When completing your claim forms for AIC and SBAHA, please be sure to tick    the box payments to go to the boarding institution and direct your payment to the:

Please bring your allowance advice from AIC and SBAHA to the Residential College and present to the Administrative Assistant, Karen Jones, on the first day of school.
